Dresses out a gas log set
I used the lava rocks to camoflage the gas log burner tray and the gas hookups in my fireplace. The lava bed completed the appearance of the gas log set. I am very happy with the result. My only suggestion, is to use gloves when spreading the lava rocks to prevent scratches to your hands.

Lava Rocks Rock!
Really dresses up the fireplace and easily hides any controls, pipes, etc...
